Lucknow: Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Chaitra V. has officially assumed charge as the Director General of AYUSH and Director of Ayurveda in Uttar Pradesh. Prior to this appointment, she served as the Director General of Youth Welfare and Provincial Guard, where she efficiently carried out her responsibilities with dedication.
After taking charge, Chaitra V. held a meeting with departmental officials and emphasized the importance of enhancing the quality and accessibility of AYUSH services. She stated that extending AYUSH healthcare practices to the masses and ensuring affordable, high-quality treatment for patients would remain a top priority of the department.
She further underlined that concrete measures would be undertaken to promote research and the wider propagation of Ayurveda.

Earlier in her administrative career, Chaitra V. served as District Magistrate in Siddharthnagar, Hapur, Kasganj, Lalitpur, and Hathras. She also held the posts of Commissioner of Aligarh Division and Managing Director of Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited.
With her extensive administrative experience, the AYUSH Department is expected to gain new direction and strength under her leadership.
