Lucknow: The Cerebral Palsy Association of India, Sarai Mali Kha, Chowk, Lucknow, inaugurated its new therapy center alongside an orthopedic camp.
The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest, former Mayor. Sanyukta Bhatia, and Acharya Narendra Dev Ward Councilor, Manish Rastogi. The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The initiative aimed to integrate differently-abled individuals into mainstream society by providing customized aids such as crutches, splints, wheelchairs, walkers, and spinal jackets. Measurements for these devices were taken and distributed during the camp.
Manjusha Singh, Secretary and CSO of the Cerebral Palsy Association of India, Mumbai, shared her insights on inclusive education in normal schools and how parents, teachers, and society can collectively bring positive changes in the lives of children with disabilities. She also discussed reusable and washable sanitary napkins (Safekins).
The event included measurements for 25 individuals with multiple disabilities and witnessed notable participation from dignitaries, coordinators, parents, and children, marking it as a significant success.
