Centenary Celebrations of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba Marked with Great Devotion in Lucknow

Lucknow: The 100th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba was celebrated with immense devotion, joy and spiritual fervour at Hari Om Mandir, Lal Bagh, on November 23, 2025. The event drew more than 500 Sai devotees from across the city, making it one of the most vibrant spiritual gatherings of the year.

The celebration began with Vedic chanting, setting a serene and sacred atmosphere. Soulful solo bhajans presented by Manoj, Shikhar and Aarti, along with melodious group bhajans by Rishi, Chandan, Mukta, Geetanjali, Shweta and Vidya Anantakrishnan, captivated the audience. Performances by children, including devotional dance and singing, added colour and charm to the occasion.

Devendra Garg, District President of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Lucknow, presented a detailed report highlighting the spiritual, educational and service initiatives undertaken by the organisation over the past year. Educationist Gunjan Arora delivered an insightful lecture on Sai Baba’s life and teachings, leaving a deep impact on devotees.

Ajay Kapoor, Rural Development Coordinator of the organisation, shared that units from Gomti Nagar, Indira Nagar, Alambagh, Chowk, Rajajipuram and the Central Committee participated collectively in the event. He emphasised that the organisation continues to prioritise health and education so that no individual in society is deprived of basic support.

The programme concluded with cake-cutting and the distribution of prasadam. Distinguished attendees included R.K. Mishra, Deepak Bhandari, Gaurav Arora, Sunil Gupta, Ashwani Arora and Dr. Ruchi Mishra. Devotees left with renewed inspiration and a collective resolve to carry forward the teachings of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
