Srinagar: Chief of Defence Staff Anil Chauhan visited key operational areas under the Chinar Corps in Srinagar to assess security preparedness along the Line of Control (LoC) in North Kashmir.
During the visit, the CDS reviewed the prevailing security environment and operational posture, praising the formation for its high level of readiness, professionalism, and cohesive approach. At Baramulla, he was also briefed on future force capabilities and the integration of advanced technologies into military operations.
Addressing officers, General Chauhan highlighted the rapidly evolving nature of modern warfare, stressing the shift from traditional domain-specific strategies to integrated multi-domain operations. He underscored the importance of seamless coordination across land, air, maritime, cyber, space, and cognitive domains to achieve decisive outcomes in future conflicts.
Emphasizing jointness as a key priority, he called for enhanced joint training, alignment of military doctrines, and the development of interoperable command and control systems. According to him, such integration is essential for synchronized and effective responses across all operational fronts.

The CDS also stressed the need for a forward-looking strategy to address emerging challenges, focusing on technological adaptation, innovation, and resilience. He noted that preparedness must be driven by foresight and a unified national approach to security.
Encouraging troops to maintain high standards of operational excellence, General Chauhan urged all ranks to embrace jointness as a core principle and remain ready to tackle evolving threats across the full spectrum of conflict.
During his visit, he also interacted with civil administration officials and local stakeholders in Baramulla, reviewing ongoing efforts related to development and nation-building in the region.
