New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), has successfully ensured the return of wanted fugitive Ritik Bajaj from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Ritik Bajaj, against whom a Red Notice (Control No. A-14700/10-2025) had been issued, is wanted by the Delhi Police in connection with offences related to the smuggling and supply of narcotic substances. The accused had fled India and was later traced to the UAE through the efforts of NCB-New Delhi.
On 9 October 2025, the CBI facilitated the issuance of a Red Notice through INTERPOL at the request of Delhi Police. Leveraging international coordination, CBI worked with NCB Bangkok to track the subject’s travel movements towards the UAE, followed by collaboration with NCB Abu Dhabi to precisely locate him.

A dedicated team from Delhi Police traveled to the UAE, successfully apprehended Ritik Bajaj, and returned with him to New Delhi on 23 December 2025.
This operation highlights the effective international cooperation and coordinated efforts of Indian law enforcement agencies in bringing fugitives to justice.
