Lucknow – A bus traveling in the wrong direction near the IIM Tiraha in Lucknow met with a horrific accident late at night on 28 January. The bus, bearing registration number UP 81 V 9315, suddenly lost control and crashed. The local police were immediately alerted about the incident and rushed to the spot to carry out a rescue operation.
Upon reaching the accident site, the police team quickly managed to extricate all passengers trapped in the bus. The injured individuals were immediately transported to the nearby medical college for treatment. Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported.

- Munni Devi, wife of Bhassu, approximately 50 years old
- Phunai, son of Barma, approximately 65 years old
- Meera Devi, wife of Late Malkhe, approximately 50 years old
- Raj Kumari, wife of Ram Lakhan, approximately 50 years old
- Raju, son of Pehlwan, approximately 70 years old
- Kallu, son of Prabhu, approximately 50 years old
- Hardwari, son of Puttu, approximately 55 years old
- Manohar, son of Mayari, approximately 65 years old
- Suman, wife of Jangli, approximately 30 years old
- Sohan Lal, son of Chunnu, approximately 75 years old
All the victims are residents of Pratappur, Jungle Matera, Moortia police station, Bahraich district.
After receiving medical attention, all the injured individuals have been discharged and sent back home. The police have ensured that the area remains calm and under control. Authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
The quick response and efficient rescue efforts of the local police have been praised by the public and local authorities, ensuring that the accident did not escalate into a more severe tragedy. The situation is currently stable, and peace is being maintained at the scene.
