Lucknow: The Bulbule Festival 2025 will be held on November 7 and 8 at the India Literacy House in Lucknow. The event is being organized by Swatantra Taleem Foundation, a Lucknow-based organization that promotes imagination, creative confidence, and freedom of expression among children through art and the process of making.
The festival aims to bring together children, parents, teachers, and artists on one vibrant platform where art, play, and learning merge into a lively experience. From storytelling sessions and puppet theatre to workshops, games, and music, the festival promises a unique journey of exploration, joy, and creation for every child.
This year, several institutions, government officials, educators, parents, and children have come together to make the festival a reality. The collective belief driving the event is that “children learn most deeply and naturally through joy and play.”
Riddhi, Co-founder of Swatantra Taleem Foundation, said, “‘Bulbule’ was born out of the belief that every child carries within them a magical world of imagination. When they are given the freedom to think openly, their ideas soar like colorful, vibrant bubbles. This festival promises to unveil the boundless potential of every child who steps into this creative space. Our goal is to help each child express their voice and choices confidently through art, play, and creative thinking.”

The Bulbule Festival 2025 will feature a wide range of engaging performances, participatory workshops, and discovery-based activities designed to spark curiosity, imagination, and creativity in children. The event is open to all, especially to children who often lack access to learning through play and experience.
This year, Swatantra Taleem Foundation has partnered with Bachpan Manao, an initiative of EkStep Foundation, which works to enhance opportunities for joyful, play-based learning during the first eight years of a child’s life. The initiative involves over 100 “collab-actors” who are actively creating supportive environments around children.
According to the organizers, nearly 500 children (up to 10 years of age), along with their teachers and mentors, will participate in the two-day celebration. The event is expected to become a collective festival of imagination, learning, and joy — an unforgettable experience for both children and adults alike.
