Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh’s Cabinet Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, and Political Pensions, Dharmapal Singh, lauded the Union Budget for the fiscal year 2025-26, presented in the Lok Sabha today. Singh emphasized that the budget would accelerate India’s growth, ensure inclusive development, and invigorate private sector investments. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for delivering this historic budget.
Highlighting key provisions, Singh noted that the increase in income tax exemption up to Rs. 12 lakh, along with an additional relief of Rs. 1 lakh for senior citizens, offers significant relief to the common people. He described the budget as comprehensive, welfare-oriented, and visionary, aimed at infusing optimism among families and bolstering the spending power of India’s growing middle class.
Singh emphasized that the budget is dedicated to sectors like education, healthcare, women, youth, and farmers. He asserted that it would play a crucial role in laying the foundation for a “Shreshtha Bharat” (Great India) and a “Swasth Bharat” (Healthy India), aligning with the Prime Minister’s vision of a developed India and addressing the aspirations of all societal segments.
The Minister highlighted the budget’s focus on farmers and agriculture-related sectors, while also prioritizing economic growth through initiatives in startups, innovation, investments, opportunities, and infrastructure development. Equal importance has been given to both rural and urban development, aiming for balanced progress across the nation.
Singh concluded by stating that this budget is a testament to the government’s commitment to holistic development, ensuring prosperity for all citizens and reinforcing India’s position as a rapidly growing economy.
