Lucknow: In a shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh’s capital, a man was brutally murdered by his own brother-in-law, who then buried the body deep inside a forest to cover up the crime. The revelation came to light during an intensive police investigation.
The incident took place in the Krishna Nagar police station area of Lucknow, where the accused, identified as Suraj Gupta, along with a few of his friends, abducted his brother-in-law Rahul. According to police sources, the group assaulted Rahul mercilessly before killing him. In a bid to hide the evidence, they dug a three-foot-deep pit in a forested area near Sarojini Nagar and buried the body.
The murder, initially cloaked in mystery, was unraveled by local police during a detailed probe. The primary motive behind the crime has been traced to a longstanding personal grudge between the two men. Police have arrested Suraj Gupta and his accomplices, who reportedly confessed to the crime during interrogation.
Authorities have recovered Rahul’s body and sent it for post-mortem. The police continue to investigate further to determine whether more individuals were involved in the premeditated act.
This gruesome crime has sent shockwaves across the city, raising questions about personal safety and the extent of violence rooted in familial discord.
