Bride Elopes with Old Flame Shortly After Wedding in Ghazipur

Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh –  A shocking incident has come to light from Ghazipur district where a newlywed bride eloped with her former lover just moments after her wedding departure. The audacious act unfolded when the old flame intercepted the bridal car, fabricating an urgent excuse about the bride’s mother being critically ill. The trusting groom allowed his new wife to go, only to have his life turned upside down.

Boyfriend Appears, Bride Leaves, and Never Returns

The bizarre event took place in the Birno police station area. The wedding had concluded on June 3rd, and the very next morning, after all the rituals, the groom, Brajesh Kumar, was driving his bride to his home. En route, a young man on a motorbike approached the car, claiming to know the bride and stating that her mother was in a critical condition, requiring the bride’s immediate presence. Brajesh fell for the deception and allowed his bride to leave with the man on his motorbike. The couple then vanished and never returned.

It has since been revealed that the bride had been in a relationship with a married man from the same village, who is a father of three. Although the bride’s family was aware of this affair, they proceeded with her marriage to Brajesh. It appears the bride had meticulously planned her escape with her lover immediately after the ‘vidaai’ ceremony.

When the bride failed to return after a considerable time, the groom himself went back to his in-laws’ house, where he was confronted with the truth: his wife had absconded with her old boyfriend.

Bride Flees with Rs 2 Lakh Worth of Jewelry

Groom Brajesh Kumar stated that he had given approximately Rs 2 lakh worth of jewelry as part of the wedding customs, which the bride was wearing when she fled. He is now left with only betrayal and embarrassment.

Following the incident, the bride’s father filed a complaint at the police station. The police have registered a case and are actively searching for the accused lover. Authorities have assured that the accused will be arrested soon.
