“Bridal Heist Shocker: Mother of 4 children turns ‘Looteri Dulhan’ Arrested in Ambedkar Nagar”

Ambedkar Nagar — In a dramatic twist worthy of a crime thriller, a woman posing as a bride fled with cash and jewelry worth lakhs on her wedding night, only to be unmasked later as a seasoned con artist and mother of four.

The incident came to light when Haryana’s Rewari Police arrested the woman, identified as Pooja, from Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. However, during interrogation, police discovered her real name to be Kaushalya, and that she is a mother of four children.

Kaushalya had reportedly been working as part of a well-organized gang that specializes in marriage fraud. The gang would arrange fake marriages, after which the “bride” would escape on the wedding night with valuables from the groom’s household. In this particular case, Kaushalya vanished in the middle of her wedding night with cash and jewelry worth several lakhs, leaving her new in-laws stunned.

The Rewari Police acted swiftly and arrested two of her accomplices, Rajveer and Suhail, who were instrumental in orchestrating the fraud. The gang is believed to have executed similar scams across states using Kaushalya as the “bride bait.”

Police are now expanding their investigation to trace other possible victims and accomplices involved in this cross-state marriage fraud network. Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and verify backgrounds thoroughly before marriage arrangements.
