Lucknow – The Hazratganj Metro Station turned into a vibrant gallery as the 7-day photo exhibition ‘Frames of India – Bharat@78’ was inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak and Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) Managing Director Sushil Kumar. The exhibition, open to the public from August 11 to 17 between 9 am and 8 pm, commemorates India’s 78th Independence Day.
The showcase features 55 striking photographs captured by 32 contemporary photographers from 11 states, presenting diverse perspectives of India’s landscapes, traditions, and people. Notably, participants range from seasoned professionals to an 11-year-old budding talent, underlining the inclusive spirit of the event.
Alongside the exhibition, the ClickedArt mobile application was launched, offering visitors the opportunity to digitally view all displayed works.

Speaking at the inauguration, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak lauded the initiative, stating, “One picture says many words. Even young children have participated, which reflects the bright future of our country. Lucknow Metro has become a world-class, eco-friendly transport system, and it’s encouraging to see it also serve as a platform for art and culture.”

UPMRC MD Sushil Kumar highlighted the broader vision behind the event, remarking, “With this exhibition, we aim to bring the diverse heritage of our country closer to the people of Lucknow. Metro stations are not just transit points, but vibrant public spaces where art and culture can flourish. This is our tribute to a united and progressive India.”

The ‘Frames of India – Bharat@78’ exhibition transforms a daily commute into an immersive cultural experience, inviting both passengers and city residents to pause, reflect, and celebrate the nation’s spirit through the lens of its photographers.
