Lucknow | BKT Inter College’s boys’ and girls’ teams delivered a stellar performance to emerge as champions at the two-day District Junior Kho-Kho Championship, organised by the Lucknow Kho-Kho Association at KD Singh Babu Stadium. The tournament saw participation from 12 boys’ teams and 8 girls’ teams. The closing ceremony featured award presentations by Yogesh Kumar, Director Commercial, Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam; Father Dominic Pinto, Principal of St. Xavier School; and T.P. Haveliya, Vice President of the Lucknow Kho-Kho Association.
In the girls’ final, BKT Inter College narrowly defeated Central Public School by a single point, securing the district championship. Earlier, Central Public School reached the final by beating St. Xavier Inter College 2-0 in the first semi-final, while BKT Inter College overpowered Seth M.R. Jaipuria Red, Kursi Road Campus, 8-0 in the second semi-final. The third-place match saw Seth M.R. Jaipuria Red defeating St. Xavier Inter College 8-4.
In the boys’ final, BKT Inter College triumphed over St. Xavier Inter College Red by four points to claim the championship. The first semi-final saw BKT Inter College edging past Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya by one point, while St. Xavier Inter College Red defeated St. Xavier Inter College Blue 2-0 in the second semi-final.
Outstanding performers across the 17 boys’ and 16 girls’ matches were also honoured for their exceptional skills and contributions to the tournament.
