LUCKNOW: The 2024 assembly elections are crucial for Jharkhand, a state struggling with infiltration by Bangladeshi and Rohingya Muslims. The mineral-rich state has seen huge demographic imbalances in recent years, and for the first time, the Bharatiya Janata Party has made the issue a campaign topic.
Additionally, allegations of nepotism and corruption by Chief Minister Hemant Soren have also surfaced. Ahead of the announcement of the Haryana assembly election results, a different atmosphere prevailed in the state as both the ruling and opposition parties awaited the results. After the Haryana election results were announced, the political atmosphere in the country suddenly changed. Wherever Legislative Assembly by-elections are being held, including in Jharkhand and Maharashtra, the calculations of the NDA and the Indian Alliance are shifting.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s slogan “Bantenge to Katenge” reached Bangladesh and Canada via Haryana. The impact of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s new slogan is evident as it exposes the tensions of an opposition party that has come to power by dividing Hindu society on the basis of caste.
The popularity of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s new slogan can be seen from the fact that posters bearing his slogan have been put up from Jharkhand to Maharashtra. In Jharkhand, he was given a ceremonial welcome by 10 bulldozers. For the first time in Jharkhand, the Bharatiya Janata Party, led by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has campaigned so aggressively and spoken of Hindutva. Confronting the issue of Bangladeshi infiltration in Assam, Assam Chief Minister Himanta has taken up the issue very aggressively in his election rallies and clearly stated that this election is not about electing MPs but about saving our existence.
Only if we Hindus survive, we can elect our representatives and MPs and we can elect our government. Himanta has said that wherever Babars have settled, we will search for them and drive them out of the country.
Determined to save the soil, bread and daughters, the state’s Bharatiya Janata Party has expressed its determination to bring in a Uniform Civil Code in states like Uttarakhand and Gujarat, thereby opening the pandora’s box for the four castes of the society, women, farmers, youth and the poor. Chief Minister Hemant Soren said he would not allow the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code at any cost.
The three main reasons for the dire state of Jharkhand today are the nepotism of the Hemant Soren government, the massive corruption fostered by the government and the appeasement policy towards Muslims. The Hindu and tribal communities in the state are falling into the trap of love jihad and national jihad of conversion to Christianity and Islam and are becoming minorities.
The appeasement policy towards Muslims in the state has gone so far that Sunday holidays have been abolished in over 100 government schools in Jharkhand and Hindu children are being instructed not to pray in government schools in Muslim-majority areas. The tradition of folding hands has been abolished here as Hindus are a minority. Like other parts of the country, Jharkhand has also seen a spate of Muslim attacks on Hindu festivals. To appease Muslims, electricity supply was deliberately cut in many districts so that people of Jharkhand could not watch the Puran Pratishta ceremony of Ramla on January 22, 2024. Many gruesome cases of love jihad hit the media due to the activities of Hindu organisations, but the state government continued to suppress all cases.
A public rally was started by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Himanta and Shivraj to change the politics of Jharkhand. The rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Yogi filled the atmosphere with enthusiasm. PM Modi made it clear that apart from the infiltration of Bangladeshis, the issue of Roti Beti and Mati and the issuance of mountains of currency notes will be loudly raised in this Jharkhand Assembly election.
At a public rally in Jharkhand, PM Modi slammed Hemant Soren for nepotism, corruption, infiltration and tribalism. The treatment of former Chief Minister Champai Soren has also come under national attention at the Bharatiya Janata Party public meeting. Chief Minister Hemant Soren was accused of giving false information about his age in his election manifesto and the Bharatiya Janata Party even demanded his nomination be cancelled.
Another person who plays a key role in the blossoming lotus in Jharkhand is Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who was seen in full form at his public rally. He said at the start of his election campaign that we need to make people realise their strength and not divide people on the basis of caste. Some will separate in the name of caste but you will remain united and noble. Yogi compared Alamgir Alam, a minister in Soren’s government, to Aurangzeb after huge amounts of cash were recovered from his house, saying Aurangzeb had plundered the country and destroyed temples.
