BJP Launches “Atal Smriti Sankalan and Sampark Abhiyan”

Lucknow – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched the “Atal Smriti Sankalan and Sampark Abhiyan” (Atal Memory Collection and Outreach Campaign), which will run until January 31, 2025. The campaign aims to collect and honor memories of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, marking the year of his centenary.

During a press conference held at the BJP’s Lucknow office, BJP State Vice President Triyambak Tripathi and Lucknow City President Anand Dwivedi outlined the objectives and details of the campaign.

Anand Dwivedi emphasized that this year marks the birth centenary of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. His birth anniversary on December 25 was celebrated as ‘Good Governance Day,’ with numerous programs held at the booth, mandal, district, state, and national levels. Exhibitions showcasing Atal Ji’s personality and contributions were organized across various levels, including district and national.

Triyambak Tripathi explained that through the “Atal Smriti Sankalan and Sampark Abhiyan,” BJP workers and Atal Ji’s admirers will identify individuals in Lucknow who possess any memories associated with Atal Ji. These may include newspaper clippings, autographed books, audio or video clips, or any memorabilia related to him. Party workers will visit these individuals to honor them and collect copies of these precious memories for compilation. Additionally, workers will identify those who worked directly with Atal Ji in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), BJP, or its affiliated organizations.

In a special segment of the campaign, senior citizens who have been involved with Atal Ji’s work will be honored. These individuals will be listed at the Lucknow office under the guidance of Minister Deepak Shukla, who will facilitate their recognition.

An “Atal Virasat Sammelan” (Atal Heritage Conference) will be held from February 15 to March 15, 2025, in every district. The event will invite intellectuals, distinguished guests, and Atal Ji’s admirers. Senior workers who collaborated with Atal Ji will be honored, and the writers of books and articles on Atal Ji’s life and work will also be recognized. A digital presentation showcasing the collected memories of Atal Ji will be a part of the event, along with a detailed presentation of special schemes initiated in Uttar Pradesh during Atal Ji’s tenure.
