Bioinformatics Day 2026 Webinar

Lucknow: The Amity Institute of Biotechnology at Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus successfully organized an International Webinar on “Multi-Omics Data Integration Using Artificial Intelligence” on 11 March 2026 to celebrate Bioinformatics Day. The event was conducted onlineand witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, researchers, academicians, and professionals from diverse scientific backgrounds. E inaugural was started with virtual lighting of lamp followed by Ganesh Vandana. Session started with the shared blessings ofProf. (Dr) Anil Vashisht, Pro Vice Chancellor,Amity University Uttar Pradesh Lucknow and Prof (Dr) Qamar Rahman, Dean Research, Amity University Uttar Pradesh Lucknow. The session was graced by the eminent presence ofProf (Dr) Anil K. Tiwari, Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor Amity University Uttar Pradesh Lucknow, Prof (Dr) Rajesh K. Tiwari, Dean Academics and Director of the Amity Institute of Biotechnology and Prof (Dr.) J.K. Srivastava, Deputy Dean Research (Science and Technology), Amity University Uttar Pradesh Lucknow.

The webinar aimed to highlight the growing importance of integrating multi-omics datasets genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to advance modern biotechnology and precision medicine. Followed by the release of Newsletter BIOHELIX (special issue) “Transformative Innovations in Bioinformatics: Shaping Modern Biotechnology” to embark the events brief with articles of experts, alumni, students and faculties.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Jitendra Narayan, Principal Scientist at CSIR – Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology. The webinar also featured the presence of distinguished delegates Dr. Ayushi Mandloi, Bioinformatician at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Division of Hematology& Oncology and Dr. Prekshi Garg, Founder &Director BioInfoCore Solutions OPC, Lucknow. The webinar also included engaging discussions with experts of the field, Dr Anshul Tiwari, Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, US; Dr Suyash Agarwal, Leads Genetics Pvt. Ltd., Bioinformatics and Genomics Division, Noida; Dr. Neha Srivastava, Scientific Manager (Computational Biology), Excelra, Hyderabad and Dr Ashish Trivedi,Sr. Scientific Officer level 5, Lilac Insights Pvt. Ltd.

Webinar was conducted under the leadership ofDr Prachi Srivastava (Convenor) along with her cooperative faculty teamDr Manish Dwivedi, Dr Ruchi Yadav and Dr Shilpi Srivastava. Student coordinators Shrijal Singh, Sanjana Mishra, Riya Agarwal, Ishika Duggal and Sankalp Jaiswal were involved in ensuring the smooth conduct of the webinar.The event concluded with an interactive session where participants exchanged ideas on future research directions and collaborative opportunities.
