Three-day celebration of creativity concludes at Vidya Gyan School, Sitapur
Sitapur: The Eastern Federation of Art and Culture (EFAC) concluded its 9th Annual Art Festival with great enthusiasm and artistic fervour at Vidya Gyan School, Sitapur, from November 6 to 8, 2025. The three-day cultural celebration, titled “Srijan ke Rang” (Colours of Creation), showcased the sensitivity, diversity, and creative depth of Indian art, bringing together artists, students, and art lovers from across the country.
The grand event featured the All India Art Exhibition, art camp, interactive workshops, and a felicitation ceremony, offering a vibrant platform for creative exchange. The Chief Guest of the closing ceremony was Neha Singh, Founder and Director of Florescence Art Gallery, Lucknow, while senior artist Jaykrishna Agrawal graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Their presence, along with Principal Swati S. Shaligram, EFAC President Pradeepta Kishore Das, Vice Principal Kabir Ahmed, artist-curator Bhupendra Asthana, and painter Amit Verma, added significance and warmth to the celebration.
Artists from five states participated in the three-day art camp, turning the venue into a living canvas of imagination and collaboration. Among the eminent participants were Amit Kalla (Jaipur), Archana Jena (Baleshwar), Aryapragya Basbadata (Baleshwar), Bhupendra Asthana (Lucknow), Dr. Neerja C. Peters (New Delhi), Dr. Shagufta Khanam (Lucknow), Napoleon (Chennai), Prateek Mishra (Sitapur), Sasmirekha Patra (Ranchi), Tikam Khandappa (Jodhpur), and Yateesh Kasargod (Jodhpur). Their works reflected a dynamic dialogue of colour, emotion, and thought, turning the festival into a living laboratory of ideas.
A special workshop conducted by Bandana Agrawal and Rinilata from Kiran Nadar Art Museum, New Delhi, focused on art education and museum practices, providing valuable insights for young learners and practitioners.
During the closing ceremony, Chief Guest Neha Singh felicitated all participating artists with mementos, certificates, and gifts, while Dr. Suryashanta Mohanty, Ankur Verma, Dr. Neerja, Sasmirekha Patra, and Rajkishore Dinda were presented with special awards for their exceptional contributions.

Guest of Honour Jaykrishna Agrawal praised the exhibits, calling the festival “a truly inspiring platform for both students and artists.” Chief Guest Neha Singh added, “Events like these are not just about art display—they are about learning, sharing, and growing together.”
Principal Swati S. Shaligram appreciated EFAC’s efforts, describing the festival as “immensely beneficial for the school’s students and their artistic exposure.”
In her vote of thanks, Dr. Neerja Peters expressed gratitude to all participants and guests, while EFAC President Pradeepta Das extended thanks to the school administration, artists, and the organizing team. The efficient coordination by Raghunath Jena made the festival a memorable experience, celebrating the vibrancy and dialogue of Indian art traditions.
The closing ceremony culminated in a harmonious fusion of music, dance, and art, where classical tunes and graceful movements seemed to converse with the painted canvases. Every colour, rhythm, and brushstroke together created a shared raga—an ode to creativity, expression, and the enduring spirit of Indian art.
