Lucknow: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Mass Communication Department of BBD University inaugurated the fourth season of its podcast series, ‘BBD Beyond Books – Women’s Day Special.’ This student-produced podcast features distinguished women from the university who have excelled in their respective fields. The official YouTube link for the podcast series was also unveiled during the event.
The program commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and Ganesh Vandana, followed by a panel discussion titled ‘Awaaz: A Panel Discussion – Voice of Social Change’ organized by the Mass Communication Department in the university auditorium. Eminent social workers from Lucknow participated in the discussion, sharing their thoughts and experiences.
Dr. Reena Srivastava, Dean of the School of Computer Applications, and Dr. Kanak Dwivedi, Head of the School of Education, extended a warm welcome to the honored participants of ‘BBD Beyond Books’ Season 4 and the distinguished panelists of the discussion.
The event was conducted under the guidance of BBD Educational Group Chairperson Mrs. Alka Das Gupta, President Mr. Viraj Sagar Das, Vice President Mrs. Devanshi Das, and Ms. Sonakshi Das, along with the inspiration of BBDU’s Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dr. S.C. Sharma.
The Mass Communication Department coordinated the entire event, with the panel discussion moderated by Assistant Professor Ms. Uma Rathore. Dr. Anubhuti Singh from the department delivered the vote of thanks, appreciating the contributions of all panelists.
The event was conceptualized, managed, and executed under the leadership of Dr. J.C. Vikram, Head of the Mass Communication Department, reflecting the department’s commitment to fostering meaningful dialogue and celebrating the achievements of women.
