Bareilly: In a move to curb black marketing and overpricing of LPG cylinders, the district administration in Bareilly carried out inspections at several gas agencies across the city. The inspections were conducted by District Supply Officer Manish Kumar Singh following directives issued by Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
During the drive, officials inspected multiple LPG agencies including Yogesh Enterprises in Rajendra Nagar, Veena Indian Gas Service on IVRI Road, Goyal Enterprises on Hartmann College Road, and Bareilly Gas Service in Sawale Nagar.
The District Supply Officer inspected both the agency offices and their storage warehouses. The stock of LPG cylinders present at the godowns was verified with the online stock status, and the records were found to be accurate with no irregularities detected during the inspection.
Officials instructed agency owners and managers to ensure that consumers receive LPG refills promptly after booking and that no confusion or inconvenience is caused to customers. They were also warned that strict action would be taken if any complaint of overpricing or malpractice is received against the agencies.
The administration has also issued detailed orders directing Sub-Divisional Magistrates and local police officers to conduct regular inspections of gas agencies operating in their respective areas and take necessary action if any irregularities are found.

To assist consumers, the district administration has released a District Supply Office helpline number (9456667774) where residents can register complaints or seek help regarding LPG refill services. Awareness is also being promoted about the IndianOil ONE App, which allows consumers to book LPG cylinders easily.
The inspection team included Indian Oil head Nitin Bindal, Regional Food Officer Vivek Srivastava, supply clerks Rajesh Kumar Adhikari and Ashish Kumar, along with other officials.
