Bareilly DM Reviews Progress of Public Grievances on IGRS and Non-IGRS Platforms

Bareilly: District Magistrate Avinash Singh chaired a review meeting  to assess the progress of complaints received through the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) and other non-IGRS channels in Bareilly.

The meeting was held at the auditorium of Vikas Bhawan Bareilly where the District Magistrate reviewed pending references received from the state government and directed all concerned officials to submit pending reports within three days.

During the meeting, unresolved complaints received during the weekly Janata Darshan public hearing programme were also reviewed. Officials were instructed to speed up the disposal of these cases and ensure prompt action.

Reviewing grievances registered on the IGRS portal, the District Magistrate noted that dissatisfaction among complainants and failure of officials to contact them directly had affected the district’s ranking. Emphasising the importance of the grievance redressal system, the District Magistrate said that IGRS is among the top priorities of the Government of Uttar Pradesh and its progress is reviewed every Wednesday through video conferences. Monthly rankings of districts are also released based on the effectiveness of complaint disposal.

He further informed that the Janata Darshan system is being continuously monitored by the Chief Minister’s Office Uttar Pradesh and will soon be implemented at the tehsil and block levels. Officials were instructed to conduct public hearings in their offices daily from 9:45 a.m. to 12 noon and treat complainants with courtesy.
