Lucknow: Minister of State for Cooperatives (Independent Charge) of Uttar Pradesh, JPS Rathore inaugurated the new fully air-conditioned building of Aliganj branch of UP Co-operative Bank Ltd, equipped with modern banking facilities.
On this occasion, the Minister said that the general public is being benefited by making all the facilities of the bank available to them. As per the intention of the state government, banking services are being provided wherever banking services are not available.
Cooperative banks are working as a welfare state. Through its 40 branches, the cooperative bank is providing modern banking facilities to the customers in the state such as UPI, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, M-Passbook and Lockers etc. and the bank is ensuring its participation in taking the economy of Uttar Pradesh to one trillion dollars by providing loan facilities like MSME Scheme, Chief Minister Yuva Swarojgar Yojana, PM Vishwakarma Yojana and PM Street Vendor Scheme as well as home loan, car loan, personal loan, education loan, traders loan etc. to the customers.
It was also told that Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Bank did a total business of more than Rs 25000.00 crore in the financial year 2023-24, for which the top management and personnel of the bank were praised. On this occasion, the Hon’ble Minister felicitated the respected customers of the bank, Rajesh Sharma, C.P. Shukla, Alka Agnihotri, Neetu Verma, Santop Kumar Gupta and other customers and distributed cheques of Rs. 17.00 lakh for housing loan to the bank’s customers Ravi Kumar and Ashish Kumar Singh.
The Chairman of the bank, Jitendra Bahadur Singh informed that UP Cooperative Bank is providing banking services in 23 districts of the state through its 40 branches and Aliganj branch has been providing excellent banking services to its customers in Aliganj area for the last 43 years and other branches of the bank are also being equipped with ultra-modern banking facilities in the same manner. Managing Director of the bank, R.K. Kulshreshtha informed that UP Cooperative Bank was established in the year 1944 and since then the bank is continuously earning profit and the net NPA of the bank is zero and since the Aliganj branch of the bank was opened in 1981, it is continuously providing banking facilities to the people of the area and the business of the branch is increasing gradually. NABARD has given ‘A’ category to the bank on the basis of business progress of the bank.
R.K. Kulshreshtha thanked the respected customers of the bank for being associated with the bank for a long time and appealed to the people of the area to join the bank by benefiting from the services of the bank. On this occasion, senior officials of the Cooperative Department, Uttar Pradesh and members of the Board of Directors of the bank were present.
