Banda, Uttar Pradesh: The mystery surrounding the murder of Mansoor Khan in Hadha village, Naraini police station area, has been solved. Uttar Pradesh police have arrested Mansoor’s son, Mashooq Khan, and his accomplice Iqbal Hussain in connection with the killing and sent them to jail.
According to police, the motive behind the murder was Mansoor Khan’s plan to marry for the fifth time and the greed over family property. Mansoor, a resident of Hadha village, had married four times before, but all his previous wives had passed away. His household included his 22-year-old son Mashooq, a differently-abled daughter, and a daughter-in-law.
Mashooq feared that after his father’s fifth marriage, the property would be transferred to the new wife, reducing his own share. Earlier, Mansoor had sold four bighas of land for ₹44 lakh, of which Mashooq had received only ₹5 lakh.

On the night of September 26, around 1:30 AM, Mashooq allegedly shot his father, with Iqbal Hussain assisting him in the act, reportedly motivated by property gains. Following the murder, Mashooq initially filed a report claiming an unknown person was responsible but later confessed to the crime during police interrogation. Authorities also recovered the firearm and other related items.
The Banda police have registered a case, and further investigation is ongoing.
