Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University receives the prestigious ‘Indian Research Excellence Citation Award – 2025’

Lucknow: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University has been conferred the highly prestigious Indian Research Excellence Citation Award – 2025 in the category of Central Universities. The award was presented at a grand ceremony held at Eros Hotel, New Delhi, organized by Web of Science, Clarivate. During the award ceremony, distinguished dignitaries including Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, President of the National Academy of Sciences, and Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of the National Educational Technology Forum (NETF) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), were present. On behalf of the university, the award was received by Dr. Sunil Goria, Librarian, nominated by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor. On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal congratulated the entire BBAU fraternity and stated that this award is the outcome of the dedicated efforts of all faculty members and research scholars. He further expressed hope that this award will continue to inspire more high-quality research in the future.

This prestigious award has been presented biennially since 2004 by Clarivate in recognition of significant contributions to research excellence in India. The key basis of this award is the citations received by any academic institution’s research publications. The award for the year 2025 has been determined based on citations of research published between 2019 and 2024, selected through a panel of experts from the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI).
