Ayurveda–Ashtanga Yoga Awareness Camp Concludes at Lucknow Public College

Lucknow: The week-long Ayurveda–Ashtanga Yoga Awareness Camp concluded on Monday at Lucknow Public College, B-Block, Rajajipuram. The special health and wellness initiative, held across all LPS branches in Lucknow from November 17 to 24, aimed at promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being among students.

Dr. S.P. Singh, Ayurvedic Medical Officer from the AYUSH Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, attended the programme as the chief speaker. He was warmly welcomed by the college principal, Gyanendra Kumar, who expressed gratitude for his guidance.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Singh stressed that sattvic diet, disciplined daily routine, moral conduct, yoga asanas and pranayama are essential pillars of holistic development. He advised students to follow balanced nutrition, adequate rest, limited mobile use, and the practice of yama and niyama. He also encouraged regular performance of asanas such as Tadasana, Vajrasana, Shirshasana and Bhujangasana.

Highlighting the therapeutic benefits of pranayama, Dr. Singh noted that Anulom-Vilom, Bhramari, and Nadi Shodhan greatly help in relieving stress, insomnia, anxiety and high blood pressure. Ayurveda and Ashtanga Yoga, he said, are not merely systems of treatment but scientific frameworks that guide individuals toward disciplined and healthy living.

During the valedictory session, Dr. Singh extended heartfelt appreciation to General Manager Harshit Singh, Principal Gyanendra Kumar, branch principals, teachers, students and staff members for their support in making the programme a success.
