Ayodhya : A heartwarming ten-day Ramayana workshop, organized for underprivileged children at Apna School in the Jayasinghpur ward of Ayodhya, concluded recently with moving performances that showcased the children’s dedication and talent. The event was conducted in collaboration with the International Ramayana and Vedic Research Institute, under the Uttar Pradesh Department of Culture.
The workshop began on June 2, with training and direction led by Santosh Kumar, President of Jai Maa Hanswahini Ramlila and Natya Mandal, Kaushambi. Under his guidance, young participants were trained in the traditional art of Ramlila performance, culminating in a captivating stage enactment.

Children performed key episodes from the epic with emotional depth and discipline, including Ram, Lakshman, and Sita’s exile, Ram-Kewat Samvad, and Bharat’s return to Ayodhya with Lord Ram’s sandals.

Behind the Scenes
The event was successfully coordinated by Ranjit Yadav, the founder of Apna School, fondly known as Khaki Wale Guruji. He honored the chief guest, Station Superintendent Rajeev Ranjan, and lead trainer Santosh Kumar with mementos and traditional scarves. Ranjit Yadav also thanked all guests and extended his best wishes for the children’s future.
