33 Pumps Deployed Across 22 Wards

According to Municipal PRO Mukesh Kumar Pandey, the Mayor had alerted municipal teams on Sunday itself when heavy rains began, ensuring early mobilisation. He visited Jalwanpura and other vulnerable areas, while the Municipal Commissioner assessed conditions in Janaura and Gaddopur.

Subsequently, Additional Municipal Commissioner Dr. Nagendra Nath and Senior Municipal Health Officer Dr. R.M. Shukla conducted field visits and oversaw the installation of 33 pumps across 25 sites in 22 municipal wards. Key locations included:

  • Four pumps in Jalwanpura
  • Two each in Chaudhary Charan Singh Ghat, Janaura, Janaura Talab, Lal Diggi, and Saryu Nagar Colony

These high-capacity pumps were crucial in draining floodwaters and restoring normalcy.

Safety Measures at Electric Panels and Poles

In Saptasagar, where damaged electric wires posed an electrocution risk, the issue was promptly flagged to the electricity department. Furthermore, inspection and taping of poles and panels near Janaki Mahal and Jain Mandir Road were completed to ensure public safety.

The municipal authorities affirmed that these actions reflect their commitment to safeguarding citizens and maintaining civic infrastructure amid challenging weather conditions.
