Lucknow: An insightful awareness session was held for students of Class 7 and 8 at City Montessori School, Chowk branch, focusing on essential health topics. The session, led by Dr. Shalini Bhasin, was attended by over 350 students and 15 teachers, making it a large-scale engagement for both children and educators.
The session highlighted three key areas: Healthy Lifestyle & Metabolic Health, Mental Health, and Blood & Organ Donation. Dr. Bhasin shared valuable knowledge on maintaining physical health, understanding metabolic processes, and the importance of mental well-being in today’s fast-paced world. The session was well-received, with students participating actively in discussions and posing questions to Dr. Bhasin.
One of the most important aspects of the session was the awareness imparted on Blood and Organ Donation. Dr. Bhasin explained how organ and blood donation could save lives and encouraged the students to advocate for these causes within their families and communities. The children were urged to talk to their parents about registering for blood and organ donation, helping to spread awareness and ultimately contribute to saving lives in the future.
Speaking about the session, Dr. Bhasin emphasized the importance of early awareness, stating, “The younger generation can play a pivotal role in spreading awareness about health and donation causes. Encouraging children to discuss such matters with their families can be the first step towards creating a more informed society.”
The students left the session not only more informed about their personal health but also empowered with knowledge on how to make a positive impact on society by promoting blood and organ donation.
This initiative marks another step by City Montessori School in integrating health awareness into the educational curriculum, ensuring that students not only excel academically but also grow up to be responsible and conscious individuals in all aspects of life.
