New Delhi | Defence communications firm Avantel Limited has secured a ₹4.16 crore contract (inclusive of taxes) from the Ministry of Defence, Headquarters Naval Aviation, for the comprehensive annual maintenance of Satellite Communication (SATCOM) equipment used by the Indian Navy.
According to company sources, the contract covers Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract (CAMC) services and will remain in force until January 2028, highlighting a long-term engagement aimed at ensuring uninterrupted performance and operational reliability of critical naval communication systems.

The order strengthens Avantel’s presence in India’s defence ecosystem, particularly in the domain of secure and mission-critical communication technologies. The company’s role in maintaining SATCOM infrastructure supports sustained naval operations and enhances overall operational readiness.
Industry observers note that the contract aligns with the government’s Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiatives by promoting indigenous maintenance, lifecycle management, and technical support for advanced defence platforms, thereby reducing dependence on external vendors.

Commenting on the development, Siddhartha Abburi, Director, Avantel Limited, said the contract reflects the confidence placed in the company’s technical capabilities. He added that Avantel remains focused on delivering reliable, high-quality maintenance services that support India’s goal of self-reliance in defence communication technologies.
With this latest win, Avantel continues to strengthen its portfolio of defence contracts while reinforcing its reputation as a trusted partner for secure communication solutions within India’s armed forces.
