AURA 2K26 Kicks Off at Rohilkhand University with Grand Technological and Cultural Showcase

Bareilly: A vibrant three-day technical and cultural fest, AURA 2K26 – The Creative Pulse, commenced with great enthusiasm at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University. Hosted by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, the fest is themed around “Tech, Art, Rhythm and Expression” and will continue until April 6, transforming the campus into a hub of innovation, creativity, and youthful energy.

The grand inauguration was graced by Chief Guest Ashok Kataria, former Minister of State (Independent Charge), Transport Department, Uttar Pradesh, and Member of the Legislative Council. The event was held under the patronage of Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh.

In a unique and innovative headstart, the fest was unveiled using a robo car alongside the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing the fusion of tradition and technology. The Chief Guest also inaugurated the Tech Expo by releasing balloons and flagged off a cycling race, marking an energetic start to the festivities.

Addressing students, Ashok Kataria emphasized the importance of such festivals in shaping personality, boosting confidence, and nurturing creativity. He encouraged students to enjoy, learn, and grow while maintaining discipline and dignity, adding that “those who innovate continuously are the ones who succeed.” He also congratulated the university for achieving the prestigious NAAC A++ grade and praised its visionary leadership.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh highlighted that AURA is entirely student-driven, offering valuable exposure and fostering innovation. He noted the university’s growing reputation in education, research, and startups, along with improved placements and new opportunities through UGC-approved distance learning programs.

Several dignitaries shared their views, including Dean Prof. Archana Gupta, who described the fest as a platform for showcasing technical, cultural, and literary talent. Prof. S.S. Bedi spoke about the global outlook such events promote, while Prof. Ravendra Singh urged students to celebrate responsibly. Prof. S.K. Pandey and Sanjeev Singh highlighted the importance of balanced development.

The event was smoothly conducted by Sakshi Mishra, with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Ajay Yadav.

As part of the fest, the cultural event ‘Sur Sangam’ showcased musical talent under the coordination of Shashi Lata and Himanshu Gaur, with expert judges including Dr. Chhavi Sharma, Dr. Ashutosh Priye, and Dr. Abha Trivedi.

The coding competition ‘Agglomeration’, guided by Er. Nisha Singh, saw Harshit Gangwar and Avneesh Singh secure first place, followed by Sahitya Chandra and Divyanshu Chandra. The event was coordinated by Uttam Mittal with support from volunteers Yashika Tomar and Anuj Paswan, while evaluation was conducted by Dr. Akhtar Hussain and Dr. Ashwani Gupta.

In the Tech Expo, the project ‘Grid Guard Nexus’ emerged as the winner, developed by Piyush, Hari Tiwari, and Vaibhav Singh under the coordination of Dr. Anil Kumar Singh.

A face painting competition, organized by Afreen Nishat and judged by Dr. Chhavi Sharma and Dr. Pooja Yadav, added a splash of artistic expression to the fest.

With a blend of technical brilliance and cultural vibrancy, AURA 2K26 promises to provide students with a dynamic platform to showcase their talents across multiple domains.
