Audience sways to the joyous tunes of Christmas Carols @ CMS

Lucknow : The Cambridge Section of City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus I, organized the grand celebration of Christmastide Winter Fest-2024 at the school’s auditorium. The event featured Christmas carols glorifying Lord Jesus and captivating Western classical music performances by the London-based music band Azure Quartet, leaving the audience enthralled. The esteemed presence of Chief Guest Dr. Shraddha Shukla, Director of the State Lalit Kala Academy, Special Guest Mr. Inderjeet Singh, Municipal Commissioner, and CMS President Dr. Roger David Kingdon added to the grandeur of the occasion. Students from various renowned schools actively participated in solo singing, group singing, and rock band competitions, enchanting everyone with their melodious performances. The best student teams were honoured with certificates of appreciation and attractive prizes.

In her address on this occasion, the Chief Guest, Dr. Shraddha Shukla urged parents to recognize and nurture their children’s special talents, leaving no stone unturned in encouraging them. She emphasized believing in children’s abilities, stating they are capable of achieving anything. She added that in today’s era, there are ample opportunities in artistic fields like music and fine arts. Special Guest  Inderjeet Singh, Municipal Commissioner, lauded CMS for shaping the younger generation into global citizens. Earlier, CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon warmly welcomed the Chief Guest, other distinguished guests, and eminent citizens, highlighting that music enriches spiritual experiences, enhances inner strength, and contributes to nurturing a cultured and civilized society.

During the grand finale of Christmastide Winter Fest, CMS students celebrated the glory of Lord Jesus and spread the message of peace and harmony through their vibrant musical performances, leaving the audience spellbound. The musical presentation by the London-based Azure Quartet became the centerpiece of the event, compelling the audience to sway to the enchanting tunes of Western classical music. On this occasion, the winning student teams of the musical competitions were awarded and honoured. In the solo singing competition, students of CMS Anand Nagar Campus secured the first prize, while CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I won the group singing competition. The Rock Band competition’s first prize was bagged by CMS Gomti Nagar Extension Campus.

Convener of Christmastide Winter Fest-2024 and Senior Principal of CMS Rajajipuram Campus I,  Nisha Pandey, expressed that the festival aimed to promote the spirit of interfaith harmony among students. She extended warm Christmas greetings to all, wishing for divine blessings upon humanity and urging everyone to support one another for happiness, harmony, and peace in society.
