Lucknow: On the second day of the Dashlakshan Mahaparva being celebrated at Indira Nagar Jain Temple, devotees observed rituals dedicated to Uttam Mardav Dharma (supreme humility).
Speaking on the occasion, Jain community minister Abhishek Jain said that the principle of Mardav teaches one to shed arrogance. “An arrogant person can never progress in life,” he remarked, urging devotees to adopt humility as a way of spiritual and social growth.
The day began with devotees Sanjeev Jain and Arun Jain ceremonially placing Lord Pushpadant Nath Swami on the Pandukshila and performing the traditional Abhishek with golden urns. The sacred Shantidhara ritual was conducted by Abhay, Arinjay, and Amit.

As part of the cultural segment, Kalyani Jain hosted the “Kaun Banega Dharmagyani” quiz competition, which tested participants’ knowledge of Jain scriptures and philosophy.

Abhishek Jain further shared that members of the Jain community collectively took a pledge at the temple to renounce arrogance and uphold humility in daily life.
Community president Pawan Jain announced that on Ashtami, devotees will celebrate the Moksha Kalyanak of Lord Pushpadant, during which a 9-kg laddu will be offered as part of the rituals.
The event was attended by several community members, including Shipra, Aparna, Rita, Sarita, Atishay, and Pradeep.
