Lucknow: As information was received from Rakesh Prakash Dubey son of Siyaram Dubey resident of village Chand Nar of certain people being involved in the dowry murder. On the basis of the application of the plaintiff case, three arrests were made. On 07.10.2024, the police team of Ghazipur was on the lookout for the accused somewhere at Polytechnic crossroad.
On the basis of the information, the police team reached Polytechnic crossroad. Where 03 persons of the description made by the informant, including two men and one woman, whose activities were looking suspicious, were found. When the Police team reached the spot and asked the names and addresses of the persons, they gave the following names: 1. Om Prakash Tiwari son of Gauri Shankar Tiwari, age about 30 years 2. Hariom Tiwari son of Bhim Prakash, age about 25 years 3. Asha Tiwari wife of Om Prakash Tiwari, After due discussions, police action has been taken as per rules. Civil legal action is being taken against the parents.
Information is being sought from other police stations and offices regarding their criminal history. In a significant development, three individuals have been arrested in connection with a dowry murder case in the North Zonei/Thana Ghazipur area. The accused were apprehended following an investigation into the murder of a woman, allegedly due to dowry demands.
The complainant was a resident of Chand Nar village. Based on the plaintiff’s complaint, a case was registered under the Dowry Prohibition Act against the following individuals:
- Om Prakash Tiwari (son of Gauri Shankar Tiwari, age 30)
- Hariom Tiwari (son of Bhim Prakash, age 25)
- Shrishti Asha Tiyahi (wife of Om Prakash Tiwari, age 48)
- Bhim Prakash Tiwari (father of Om Prakash, age 60)
The police initiated a search for the accused after the case was registered. On October 7, 2024, the police team from Ghazipur received a tip-off about the whereabouts of the suspects, who were believed to be heading for someplace from the Polytechnic Crossroad, the police identified three individuals matching the description provided by the informant, who were behaving suspiciously.
The arrested individuals were:
- Om Prakash Tiwari, age 30, resident of Pura Bana Rakhna, Ayodhya.
- Hariom Tiwari, age 25, resident of Nasser Ka Pura Bhana, Ayodhya.
- Mili Bhasha Tiwari, age 48, wife of Om Prakash Tiwari.
Following the arrest, police action was taken in accordance with legal protocols, and civil action is being pursued against the accused’s parents. The police are also gathering information regarding the criminal history of the suspects from other police stations and departments.
