Arjun Kucchal Clinches Overall Gross Winner Rolling Trophy at PM Rungta Memorial Golf Cup 2026

Jaipur |  Arjun Kucchal emerged as the Overall Gross Winner at the Shri P. M. Rungta Memorial Golf Cup 2026, held at the Rambagh Golf Club in Jaipur. The one-day tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 143 golfers representing diverse professional backgrounds.

The event concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony, where winners and runners-up across various handicap categories were felicitated. Golfers from business, industry, judiciary, the armed forces and the railways took part, reflecting the tournament’s broad appeal. The competition was played in the Stableford – Single Peoria format.

Adding star presence to the occasion were legendary cricketers and celebrity golfers Kapil Dev, Madan Lal, Gagan Khoda and Amrit Mathur.

Category Winners and Runners-up

In the handicap categories, the runners-up were Deep Karan Singh (0–9), Yogendra Singh (10–18) and Yogendra Gotewal (19–24). The winners in the respective categories were Himanshu Singh (0–9), Devendra Rajawat (10–18) and Ankur Thakur (19–24).

The Veteran Golfer Award was won by Dr. Basant Khetan, while the Ladies Golfer title was claimed by Vimmi Bhatia.

Speaking at the ceremony, Kapil Dev praised the spirit of the event, saying that the enthusiasm for golf and the sportsmanship displayed by participants were truly inspiring. He noted that tournaments like the Shri P. M. Rungta Memorial Golf Cup not only promote the sport but also bring together people from varied walks of life. He congratulated all the winners and expressed optimism about the tournament’s continued growth in the coming years.

Gaurav Rungta, Trustee of the Shri P. M. Rungta Foundation, highlighted that the tournament reflects the growing passion for golf while promoting values such as discipline, patience and strategic thinking. He announced that the event will be held annually and reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to supporting emerging young golfers by providing training and development opportunities.

The Shri P. M. Rungta Foundation was established in 2013 in memory of late P. M. Rungta. The foundation actively works in the fields of education, healthcare and sports development, contributing to initiatives such as running Sanskrit colleges, supporting tribal schools, mid-day meal programs and organizing eye-care camps. It also extends sponsorship support to promising young talents.
