– The Faculty of Architecture and Planning of the University got the opportunity to host the 67th Zonal Conference of the National Association of Students of Architecture (NASA)
Lucknow: The Faculty of Architecture and Planning of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University has got the honor of hosting this year’s 67th Zonal NASA Conference. This conference comes under Zone 4. Architecture students from seven states will get a platform in the conference. Where they will be able to showcase their creativity, technical skills and mutual cooperation. The conference is being organized in the university campus from 25 to 27 October. Preparations continued in the campus on Thursday. Along with decoration, students are also busy preparing their various designs.
This year’s zonal conference will be attended by more than 600 students from more than 25 colleges of 7 states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim and Chhattisgarh. This conference will be an important center for students and teachers to exchange innovation, creativity and best practices of architecture. The conference will be mainly based on sustainable architecture. Special lectures and workshops will be organized by experts on this. Apart from this, other competitions including designs made by students will also be organized. Cultural programs will also be organized.
It is being organized under the patronage of Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. JP Pandey and guidance of Principal of FOAP Prof. Vandana Sehgal, Dr. Ritu Gulati. The coordinator of the conference is Dr. Anjaneya Sharma.
Many eminent architects and design experts will participate in the conference. These include Arcoham’s leading architect Saurabh Gupta, Mukesh Goyal, GCA Alumni Association’s Archdt. Anupam Mittal and Lucknow Architects Association’s Archdt. Prashant Pal Singh, Archdt. Shubhendu Bajpai, Archdt. Experienced architects like Devesh Mani Tripathi, Arch. K.K. Asthana will also be present at the event.
The National Association of Students of Architecture is India’s premier student organization, which has been making significant contributions in the field of architectural education since 1957. Through national and zonal conferences held every year, NASA provides students with a unique opportunity to learn and share experiences through design competitions, workshops and cultural activities.
