Lucknow – The District Khadi and Village Industries Officer, Avdhesh Kumar Gautam, has announced that under the Chief Minister Mati Kala Employment Scheme, operated by the Uttar Pradesh Mati Kala Board, Lucknow district has received a target of 04 units for bank financing for the financial year 2025-26. The scheme aims to strengthen the economic development of artisans and craftsmen involved in making clay pottery.
He informed that under this scheme, eligible candidates will be sanctioned and disbursed loans up to a maximum of ₹10 lakh through banks. Additionally, the department will provide a capital loan subsidy of 25 percent of the total approved project cost.
Applicants must be over 18 years of age. Interested Mati Kala (clay art) and handicraft artisans can apply online through the portal upmatikalaboard.in. After submitting the online application, it is mandatory to submit the hard copy of the application form along with supporting documents such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, caste certificate, educational qualification certificate, project report, No Objection Certificate, copy of ration card, and bank passbook, etc., to the District Village Industries Officer’s office, 8 Cantt Road, Lucknow, by May 25, 2025.
