ASISC Zonal Drawing & Painting Competition: 49 students from 19 schools showcase artistic brilliance across three categories

Lucknow: St. Thomas Mission School played host to the ASISC Zonal Level Drawing and Painting Competition, where young artists from across the city displayed their creativity with remarkable flair. The event witnessed participation from 49 students representing 19 prominent schools, competing in three categories — Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior levels.

In the Sub-Junior category, Anukalp Singh from City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar bagged the first prize with a vibrant and imaginative piece. Maimoona Javed of Modern Academy secured the second position, while the third prize was shared by Vanshika Kashyap (St. Thomas), and Devanshi Tripathi (Gurukul Academy), both receiving accolades for their detailed and expressive work.

The Junior category saw a brilliant performance by Srishti Sharma of the host school St. Thomas Mission School, who clinched the first position. The second position was jointly held by Anusha Rashid of Lucknow Public School and Sansriti from Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, while Vaishali Roy of Gurukul Academy secured third place.

In the Senior category, Divyanshi Singh of Riverside Academy emerged as the winner, impressing judges with her technique and thematic depth. Prashasti Singh from City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar, was awarded second place, while Rashika Jaiswal of St. Thomas Mission School claimed the third spot.

The event was judged by renowned artist Pankaj, along with his associate, who formed the expert jury panel. The judges appreciated the high level of creativity, originality, and execution displayed by participants across all categories.

St. Thomas Mission School’s Director Father Jason Joseph and Principal Mrs. Roopam Dubey graced the occasion, encouraging students to continue nurturing their artistic talents. The competition was marked by a spirit of healthy rivalry, creative expression, and artistic enthusiasm, reinforcing the importance of visual arts in holistic education.
