In the U-10 boys category, Ayansh Pathak dominated his semifinal, advancing to the final with an impressive victory.
The tournament, organized by the Uttar Pradesh Tennis Association and hosted by the SDS Tennis Academy at the SDS La Martiniere Tennis Facility, saw some top-notch performances in the men’s singles semifinals. In the first match, Anuj Kumar took on Arav Bhaskar, and with a solid display of forehand shots and powerful serves, Anuj cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 victory. Anuj’s clinical performance in the second set allowed him to wrap up the match in dominant fashion.
In the second men’s singles semifinal, Shobhit Tandon faced Anirudh Kumar. Anirudh put up a good fight but was outclassed by Shobhit’s attacking play and exceptional court coverage. Shobhit won 6-1, 6-4 to secure his place in the final. His aggressive play and precise shot placement helped him gain the upper hand and maintain a steady lead throughout the match.
In the boys’ U-10 semifinal, Ayansh Pathak showed remarkable skill and composure as he defeated Praveer Vaibhav Tilak 6-2, 6-3. Ayansh’s powerful groundstrokes and excellent placement forced Praveer to play defensively. Despite Praveer’s efforts to make a comeback with his forehand shots, Ayansh maintained control of the match. In the first set, Ayansh broke Praveer’s serve twice to win 6-2. Although Praveer tried to mount a fightback in the second set, Ayansh’s resilience and top-level gameplay ensured he sealed the win and advanced to the final.
With the semifinals concluded, the tournament now moves into the final phase. In the men’s singles, Anuj Kumar will face Shobhit Tandon for the title, while in the boys’ U-10 final, Ayansh Pathak will take on Praveer Vaibhav Tilak in what promises to be an exciting conclusion to the tournament.
