Anand Dwivedi Declared Lucknow Metropolitan BJP President

Lucknow – In a significant development ahead of the 2025 organizational campaigns, Anand Dwivedi was formally declared the new Metropolitan President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Lucknow. The announcement was made by Lucknow election officer and Rajya Sabha MP Naveen Jain during the ‘Sangathan Parv 2025’ event held at the CMS Gomti Nagar, Vishal Khand branch auditorium.

The announcement followed a structured and transparent election process as determined by the party leadership. Speaking on the occasion, Naveen Jain said, “It is a matter of immense pride and joy that we are members of the BJP, the only party in the country that conducts organizational elections in a fair and transparent manner. Today, district presidents across the state are being announced simultaneously as part of this process.”

Anand Dwivedi Vows Dedication to Party’s Growth

Following his declaration as President, Anand Dwivedi expressed gratitude to senior leaders, including Union Defence Minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh BJP President Bhupendra Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, BJP State General Secretary (Organization) Dharmapal Singh, and Neeraj Singh, among others.

In his address, Dwivedi said, “I am deeply humbled by the trust reposed in me by the party. I will work with renewed energy and dedication to take the party’s policies and initiatives to the masses. I aim to elevate the performance of the Lucknow BJP to new heights at both the state and national levels, continuing the legacy of excellence.”

Celebrations and Religious Offerings Mark the Occasion

Soon after the announcement, jubilation swept through the party ranks. Party workers celebrated with drum beats, fireworks, and garlands. There was a rush among supporters to congratulate Dwivedi, draping him with garlands and ceremonial shawls.

Dwivedi’s first act post-election was a visit to the Hanuman Setu Temple, where he offered prayers and a large garland to Lord Hanuman, seeking blessings for his new responsibilities. He then proceeded to the official residence of Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, who congratulated him and offered him sweets in celebration.

Dwivedi also visited the BJP state headquarters, where he met with State General Secretary (Organization) Dharmapal Singh and other senior leaders. Among those present were General Secretary Ram Avatar Kanojia, Vice President Ghanshyam Agrawal, Vivek Singh Tomar, Tinku Sonkar, Jaya Shukla, Saurabh Valmiki, Rakesh Singh, Abhishek Khare, Manvendra Singh, Hemant Dayal, Vijay Bhurji, and media in-charge Praveen Garg. Several ward presidents, municipal councillors, and other key office bearers also extended their greetings.

Participation in Holi Milan Ceremony

Later in the day, Dwivedi attended a Holi Milan celebration hosted by BJP leader Amit Tandon at his Triloknath Marg residence, where a large number of attendees congratulated him on his election. He then visited the residence of Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Dinesh Sharma on University Road, where he met with MLA Dr. Neeraj Bora and received further blessings and good wishes.

Dwivedi concluded the day by visiting his office in Alambagh, where he was greeted with a grand floral welcome by local residents and party workers. The atmosphere remained festive throughout, marking the start of a new chapter for BJP’s Lucknow unit under Anand Dwivedi’s leadership.
