Lucknow — In a significant move to foster innovation in quantum technology, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Quantum Research and Centre of Excellence (QRACE), New Delhi.
The agreement was spearheaded by the Centre of Excellence in Quantum Computing at the Amity Institute of Information Technology (AIIT), with a shared goal to conduct advanced research in intelligent, secure, and robust quantum systems. The collaboration will focus on integrating artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, quantum dots, and next-generation electronics into quantum platforms. The MoU was signed by Brig. U.K. Chopra, Director, AIITL, and Dr. Kumar Gautam, Founder and President of QRACE, in the presence of Wg. Cdr. (Dr.) Anil Kumar, Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Lucknow, and Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh K. Tiwari, Dean of Academics.
Distinguished attendees included Dr. Kumar Shubham, Research Director – Energy and Nanotechnology, QRACE; Dr. Rajiv Pandey, Head – Centre of Excellence in Quantum Computing, AIIT; and Dr. Pratibha Maurya, Assistant Professor, AIITL. As per the MoU, both institutions will collaboratively develop high-quality academic modules to train future quantum scientists and engineers. They also aim to establish joint research centres in reputed academic and research institutions across India.
This strategic collaboration is expected to open new avenues in quantum computing and reaffirms Amity University’s commitment to staying at the cutting edge of technological innovation.
