Amity University Lucknow hosts National Workshop on Beverage Art and Service

Lucknow: With the objective of enhancing professional skills in beverage service, Amity School of Hospitality, Amity University Lucknow Campus, organised a National Workshop on “The Art of Preparing, Presenting and Serving a Variety of Teas, Coffees and Mocktails” .

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 250 students and faculty members representing several prestigious universities and institutions, including the Government Institute of Hotel Management, Lucknow.

The session was conducted by  Pawan Bhatia, Beverage Innovation Executive, Monin India Pvt. Ltd., who shared valuable industry insights with the participants. Dr. Ankit Chadha, Director, Amity School of Hospitality, formally welcomed the guests and participants.

Addressing the gathering,  Pawan Bhatia emphasized that beverage service is not merely a technical skill but an expression of hospitality and guest experience. He elaborated on the standard operating procedures for presenting and serving tea, coffee, and mocktails at the table.

A major highlight of the workshop was the live practical demonstration, where Mr. Bhatia showcased the step-by-step process of preparing mocktails and a variety of fruit-based beverages, along with teas and coffees. He demonstrated techniques related to ingredient selection, balance of flavours, presentation styles, and service etiquette. The session was further supported by an informative PowerPoint presentation, explaining the varieties of ingredients used and their manufacturing processes.

The workshop proved to be a highly enriching experience, equipping participants with practical knowledge and contemporary skills aligned with current hospitality industry standards.
