Lucknow: With the objective of inspiring students to convert innovative ideas into sustainable business ventures, the Amity Innovation Incubator, Amity University Lucknow Campus, organised an Entrepreneurship Awareness Program titled “Translating Idea to Enterprise — A Roadmap for Young Entrepreneurs.”
The program was conducted under the Entrepreneurship Skill Development Program (ESDP) of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, in collaboration with CSIR–Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (CSIR-IITR).
The initiative brought together academicians, scientists, industry experts and aspiring entrepreneurs, offering participants valuable insights into startup development, intellectual property rights, incubation support and strategic growth planning. The interactive sessions aimed to equip young minds with practical knowledge and real-world perspectives essential for entrepreneurial success.
The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. Bhaskar Narayan, Director, CSIR-IITR, along with Prof. (Dr.) Anil Vashisht, Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University Lucknow Campus, and distinguished experts from CSIR-IITR including Dr. Ravi Ram Kristipati, Dr. K. C. Khulbe, Prof. (Dr.) Smriti Priya, Dr. Ashwani Bhardwaj, and Mr. Sumit Kumar Vaish, Founder, Hindonics Technologies Pvt. Ltd., by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
Welcoming the guests and dignitaries, Prof. (Dr.) Anil Vashisht , Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University Lucknow Campus, emphasised that entrepreneurship is not merely about business creation, but about generating impact, creating employment and contributing to national development. He encouraged students to innovate fearlessly, take calculated risks and effectively utilise platforms such as the Amity Innovation Incubator to transform ideas into successful enterprises.

Addressing the gathering on “Role of Impact vis-à-vis Effort in the Professional Life of a Scientist,” Dr. Bhaskar Narayan urged young entrepreneurs to remain grounded and humble. Drawing an analogy from the Sun, he stated that its energy is primarily used for essential purposes like drying clothes rather than extraordinary tasks such as powering nuclear reactors. He emphasised the importance of empathy, integrity and ethical conduct for long-term success in any profession. He further advised participants to focus on high-impact tasks, invest strategically in meaningful initiatives, and delegate or automate low-impact work, offering a practical framework for productivity and decision-making.
The program also featured sessions on the objectives of ESDP, intellectual property management for startups, incubation strategies, and an engaging question-and-answer interaction with industry leaders. On this occasion, Wing Commander Prof. (Dr.) Anil K. Tiwari, Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh K. Tiwari, Dean Academics; and Prof. (Dr.) Rajeev Verma, Dean Student Welfare, Amity University Lucknow Campus, were also present.
