Lucknow: Amity University Lucknow Campus celebrated the grand conclusion of its annual sports festival “SANGATHAN 2025” with a closing and award distribution ceremony. The event transformed the campus into a vibrant hub of energy, sportsmanship, and celebration.
This year’s SANGATHAN featured over 180 matches, encompassing both indoor and outdoor events such as table tennis, cricket, shot put, javelin throw, 100m, 200m, and 800m races, kabaddi, kho-kho, tug of war, volleyball, football, and badminton. More than 2,000 students from various faculties showcased their athletic prowess and team spirit throughout the tournament.

Prof. (Dr.) Anil Vashisht, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Amity University Lucknow Campus, graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest. Heads of institutions, faculty members, and students were present to witness the grand finale.

Congratulating all participants, Dr. Vashisht said, “Over the past days, we have witnessed remarkable displays of sportsmanship, teamwork, and determination across our fields. SANGATHAN 2025 is not just about winning medals—it is a celebration of discipline, dedication, and the spirit of togetherness. We commemorate SANGATHAN as a tribute to our Founder President, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, who believed in the values of hard work, perseverance, and excellence.”

Dr. Rajeev Verma, Dean of Student Welfare, welcomed the participants and lauded their enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Alongside the prize distribution, students presented enthralling cultural performances, including dance dramas, western dance acts, and musical renditions that captivated the audience.

The Overall SANGATHAN Champion Trophy 2025 was jointly won by Amity School of Engineering & Technology (ASET) and Amity School of Applied Sciences (ASAS). The combined team of AIIT, ASL, AIBAS, AILA, and AIRS (Group-2) secured the second position, while Amity Business School claimed third place.
The award distribution ceremony witnessed an atmosphere of immense excitement and pride as students cheered for their peers and celebrated their achievements. With overwhelming participation and spirited performances, SANGATHAN 2025 concluded as a memorable chapter in the university’s vibrant journey of sports and culture.
