Lucknow: Amity University Lucknow Campus celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and a strong sense of patriotism. The celebrations commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Pro Vice-Chancellor of Amity University Lucknow Campus, Professor (Dr.) Anil Vashisht, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, instilling a spirit of unity and pride among all present.
Chairman, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Aseem Chauhan, joined the programme virtually and extended his Republic Day greetings to the Amity fraternity. Addressing the students, he highlighted the significance of the Indian Constitution, stating that it guarantees freedom, equality and justice to every citizen. He reminded the audience that while citizens enjoy many rights, they also have important duties towards the nation which must always be upheld.
In his address, Professor (Dr.) Anil Vashisht, emphasized the importance of Republic Day and underlined the need for active participation and responsibility of every citizen in building a strong, progressive and self-reliant nation.
The programme featured vibrant cultural performances by students, showcasing India’s rich cultural diversity, glorious heritage and the sacrifices made by freedom fighters. The performances reflected deep patriotism and were warmly appreciated by the audience.
The celebrations witnessed enthusiastic participation from heads of departments, institute heads, faculty members, staff and students from all departments of the University, who came together to express their respect and gratitude towards the Tricolour and the nation.
