Lucknow | The High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, Lucknow Bench, celebrated the 77th Republic Day with solemn pride and patriotic fervour on Monday. The ceremony was held within the High Court premises and witnessed the participation of judges, court officials, members of the Bar, and distinguished guests.
On the occasion, Hon’ble Justice Mr. Rajan Roy, Senior Judge, High Court, Lucknow, unfurled the National Flag with dignity and reverence. The flag hoisting ceremony was followed by the National Anthem and a splendid performance by the P.A.C. Band, adding to the grandeur of the celebration.
Following the ceremony, Hon’ble Justice Rajan Roy, accompanied by Hon’ble Judges and their spouses, the Senior Registrar, officers of the Registry, and employees of the High Court, paid tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, by offering floral homage at his bust located in the court premises.
The event was also attended by several eminent dignitaries, including Hon’ble retired judges, Additional Advocates General of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Standing Counsels, Government Advocates, Special Counsels, and executive members of the Oudh Bar Association.
The Republic Day observance at the High Court reflected the institution’s commitment to constitutional values, national unity, and respect for the ideals on which the Republic of India is founded.
