Lucknow: Make yoga an integral part of your life. Yoga not only gives good exercise to the muscles of our body, but it also helps in maintaining good health both physically and mentally. With this objective, , the Faculty of Architecture and Planning (FOAP), AKTU, in collaboration with Lucknow Architects Association (LAA), organized International Yoga Day 2024 in the form of a yoga camp at its campus at Tagore Marg.
Many architects of the city along with faculty members, students and staff of the institution performed yoga under the guidance of certified yoga instructor Vishnu Keshari, who is also a final year student at the institution.
The yoga session lasted for 45 minutes following the yoga protocol as per the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. During this, it ended with prayer, Vrikshasana, Tad Asana, Trikon Asana, Bhujang Asana, Pranayama, Bhramari Pranayama, meditation and prayer for the well-being of the whole world.
Certificates were distributed to all the participants and students by the dignitaries of LAA and FOAP. Senior Architect Dr. K.K. Asthana, Architect Sanjay Mathur and Dr. Vandana Sehgal, Principal and Dean, FOAP motivated the participants to make yoga a part of daily life and also emphasized on healthy lifestyle.
LAA President A. Prashant Pal Singh, General Secretary A. Devesh Mani Tripathi, FOAP Department Head Dr. Ritu Gulati participated enthusiastically in the session. Associate Dean Dr. Anjaneya Sharma coordinated the event on behalf of FOAP.
The event was supported by Prism Cement. Anurag Bhatt, Regional Manager and Anurag Sharma, Regional Technical Head and Archit Dixit participated in the event along with their team.
