Akhilesh Yadav Inaugurates New Samajwadi Party Office in Azamgarh, Names it “PDA Bhavan”

Azamgarh – In a politically charged and emotionally resonant event, Samajwadi Party National President and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav inaugurated the new party office building in Azamgarh and laid the foundation stone for a conference and meeting hall within the complex. Addressing a large gathering of party workers and supporters, Yadav emphasized the deep emotional and ideological ties between Azamgarh and the Samajwadi Party.

“Azamgarh Has Always Stood by the Party”

Akhilesh Yadav acknowledged Azamgarh’s unwavering support in the party’s journey, stating, “Despite changing political circumstances, Azamgarh has remained committed to our values. From electing Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) to the Lok Sabha to ensuring Dharmendra Yadav’s victory, the district has consistently empowered the Samajwadi movement.”

Highlighting the Purvanchal Expressway, Yadav credited the former Samajwadi government for vital infrastructure development. “This expressway connects Lucknow to Azamgarh on one side and Saifai on the other. Yet, much work still needs to be done alongside it,” he said, reaffirming the party’s legacy of building Agra-Lucknow and Purvanchal expressways.

BJP Accused of Corruption and Anti-Education Agenda

Yadav launched a scathing attack on the ruling BJP government, accusing it of massive corruption, particularly in the Jal Jeevan Mission. “Water tanks are bursting monthly because they can’t withstand the corruption inside them,” he quipped.

He also criticized the government for shutting down schools while opening liquor shops, saying, “This government is depriving poor children, especially girls, of education while indulging in regressive politics.”

PDA – A New Political Force

In a major announcement, Akhilesh Yadav named the new party office “PDA Bhavan”, reinforcing the Samajwadi Party’s focus on PDA: Pichhda (Backward), Dalit, and Alpsankhyak (Minorities). “PDA unity is our strength. This building will stand as a symbol of that unity and the fight for social justice,” he said.

He asserted that PDA will form the next government, claiming BJP is rattled by this growing coalition. “The BJP is resorting to conspiracies and language of division to weaken this unity,” he warned.

INDIA Bloc’s Strength and Strategy

Yadav reiterated that the INDIA alliance, backed by PDA’s strategy, emerged as the number one force in Uttar Pradesh during the recent Lok Sabha elections. “History shows that those who win the Lok Sabha in UP go on to win the Assembly. We are preparing to break all records in 2027,” he said.

He urged party workers to actively work on correcting the voter lists, warning that the BJP is planning large-scale manipulations, citing examples from Bihar where one lakh volunteers were allegedly hired to alter electoral rolls.

Vision for Governance: Jobs, Justice, and Infrastructure

Yadav promised that once in power, the Samajwadi Party would replace the contractual system with permanent government jobs, and abolish the controversial Agniveer scheme. “We want to give youth full-term jobs in the Indian Army. We’ll build a stronger, technology-backed force,” he said.

He criticized the BJP for failing farmers and youth, noting issues such as fake fertilizers, rising debts, and poor health infrastructure. “They promised to double farmer income, but ended up doubling the debt instead,” he said, adding that law and order has deteriorated under the current regime.

Grand Welcome by Party Stalwarts

The event saw the presence of prominent Samajwadi leaders including:

  • Leader of Opposition (Assembly) Mata Prasad Pandey
  • Leader of Opposition (Council) Lal Bihari Yadav
  • MPs Dharmendra Yadav, Lalji Verma, Rajeev Rai, Ram Bhual Nishad, and Daroga Prasad Saroj
  • Senior MLAs and former ministers Durga Prasad Yadav, Ram Achal Rajbhar, Shailendra Yadav Lallai, Ambika Chaudhary, among others

Notably, social worker Lallan Chauhan and engineer Sunil Yadav formally joined the Samajwadi Party during the event. The program was anchored by former minister Ram Asre Vishwakarma.

Akhilesh Yadav concluded with a clarion call: “From Ghaziabad to Ghazipur, from Saharanpur to Sonbhadra, PDA will echo in every street. In 2027, the Samajwadi Party will script a new chapter of record victories in Uttar Pradesh.”
