Akhilesh Yadav Asserts 2027 Assembly Polls Will Be a Game-Changer, Urges SP Workers to Strengthen Booth-Level Organization

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) National President and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has declared that the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections will prove to be a turning point in the nation’s political landscape. Addressing a large gathering of party workers at the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Auditorium at the SP state headquarters in Lucknow, Yadav warned against BJP’s alleged electoral malpractices and called for a united front to oust the ruling party.

Yadav emphasized the need for party cadres to strengthen the organization at the booth level and remain vigilant against the “conspiracies” of the BJP. “To save democracy, we must stop BJP’s manipulations in the electoral process. SP workers must act with unity and discipline to expose BJP’s deceit among the masses,” he stated.

The event also saw a well-received satirical performance titled “Bahut Hua Samman” by comedian Rajeev Nigam before Yadav’s address.

Highlighting SP’s PDA (Pichhda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) strategy, Yadav accused the BJP of oppressing marginalized communities and robbing them of their rightful share in reservations and opportunities. He termed the PDA alliance an emotional and social movement aimed at restoring justice.

Lashing out at the state government, Yadav alleged widespread corruption and administrative breakdown. “From transfers and postings to every government transaction, corruption is rampant. Ministers and officials are fighting over the spoils,” he claimed, adding that the people have already given BJP a warning in the recent Lok Sabha elections.

Referring to the party’s success in Ayodhya, he said, “Defeating BJP in Ayodhya has marked the beginning of the end of its communal politics.”

Senior leaders present at the event included former MP Uday Pratap Singh, National General Secretary Shivpal Singh Yadav, MPs Dharmendra Yadav and Javed Ali, former cabinet minister Rajendra Chaudhary, State President Shyam Lal Pal, MLAs Nawab Iqbal Mehmood, Ravidas Mehrotra, Sangram Singh, Ashu Malik, former ministers Ambika Chaudhary and Yogesh Pratap Singh, Dr. Rajpal Kashyap, Reebu Srivastava, and Fakhir Siddiqui, among others.

With the 2027 Assembly elections on the horizon, Akhilesh Yadav’s rallying call marks a clear shift toward aggressive grassroots mobilization against the ruling party in Uttar Pradesh.
