Wellington: Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (CISC), visited the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC) in Wellington from March 22 to 24, 2026, where he addressed student officers of the Indian Armed Forces, officers from friendly foreign countries attending the 81st Staff Course, and the permanent staff of DSSC.
During his address, Air Marshal Dixit highlighted the evolving nature of modern warfare and stressed the need for military leaders to adapt to emerging security challenges. He underscored the importance of joint operations and inter-service coordination in effectively responding to strategic threats and elaborated on transformative reforms underway within the Indian military.
The CISC was briefed by the DSSC Commandant on ongoing training activities and praised the college for its crucial role in shaping future military leaders. He emphasized that professional military education is vital for enhancing operational readiness and informed decision-making among officers.
