Kolkata, India: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) successfully concluded the 2025–2026 AIFF–FIFA Coach Capacity Building Programme earlier this week at the AIFF National Centre of Excellence, Kolkata. The intensive three-day workshop brought together 27 coaches from across the country with the aim of enhancing technical skills, leadership qualities and knowledge of modern football trends.
Organised in collaboration with FIFA, the programme featured a combination of classroom sessions and on-field training. Experts from the AIFF Coach Education Department, led by AIFF Technical Director Sabir Pasha, Head of Coach Education Vivek Nagul, and Coach Educator Jeddy Almeida, guided participants through high-level modules.
Key focus areas included:
- Game model evolution
- Talent identification
- Coach self-development and mentoring
- Leadership and team management
- Fitness and load management
Tsering Angmo, Deputy Chairperson of the AIFF Women’s Committee and speaker at the workshop, shared her vision for the future of Indian football and encouraged coaches to pursue excellence and innovation.

The programme culminated with a certificate distribution ceremony, recognising the successful completion of the course by all participants.
Earlier this year, from June 27 to 30, AIFF also hosted an Elite Coaches Workshop in Mumbai, bringing together some of the finest coaching minds in Indian football—further reinforcing AIFF’s commitment to coach education and football development in the country.
The latest programme in Kolkata marks another significant step towards building a stronger coaching ecosystem to elevate Indian football at both national and international levels.
