Bareilly: An agriculture fair and exhibition highlighting the achievements and welfare schemes of the Uttar Pradesh government over the past nine years and the Central government’s 11-year tenure was organized at the auditorium of Nawabganj development block in Bareilly.
The event was inaugurated by Member of Parliament Chhatrapal Singh Gangwar in the presence of Nawabganj MLA Dr. M. P. Arya.
Focus on Development and Welfare
Addressing the gathering, MP Chhatrapal Singh Gangwar highlighted key achievements of the state government, stating that welfare schemes are reaching every section of society. He emphasized significant progress in infrastructure development, women empowerment initiatives, and improvements in law and order.
Exhibition of Schemes and Public Outreach
The कार्यक्रम featured multiple stalls set up by various departments, showcasing government schemes related to agriculture, rural development, and social welfare. Public representatives visited these stalls and interacted with beneficiaries to understand the on-ground impact of the initiatives.
A special ceremony was held by the Child Development Department, where beneficiaries were honored through a traditional god bharai ritual, symbolizing maternal welfare and support.
Distribution of Benefits to Farmers
Under the agriculture mechanization scheme, beneficiaries of Custom Hiring Centres were provided with tractor keys and honored with certificates and ceremonial shawls. Two beneficiaries—Anshu Devi from Sithra village and Puran Lal from Rampura Kajiyan—received subsidies of ₹24 lakh each under the Promotion of Agricultural Mechanization for In-Situ Management of Crop Residue scheme.

Farmers who received the 22nd installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi were also felicitated, along with beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Housing Scheme, who were awarded certificates and honored during the event.
Encouraging Modern Farming Practices
Officials reiterated that such initiatives aim to promote modern agricultural practices, improve productivity, and support farmers through financial assistance and technological adoption.
The event was attended by Block chief representative Dr. Ashutosh Gangwar, Block Development Officer Mahesh Chandra Shakya, Sub-Divisional Agriculture Extension Officer Dr. Narendra Pratap, ADO Agriculture Radheshyam Gangwar, along with other officials, staff, and a large number of farmers.
The fair served as an important platform to connect farmers with government initiatives and promote awareness about schemes aimed at boosting agricultural growth and rural livelihoods.
